Clean Bagmati Campaign

The Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology along with the UN Park Development Committee organized a program at the UN Park, Sankhamul on March 22, 2009 – to initiate a week long cleaning campaign along a section of the Bagmati River.

Officials from the ministry, well distinguished, some foreign dignitaries, environmentalists, activists and locals adorned the program with their speeches, opinions and commitments.

The week long campaign, with a slogan “Shared Water – Shared Opportunities”, kicked off.

Next day, Bagmati was still waiting enthusiastically for the “cleaning” campaign to begin.
